Pray
for good rehearsals and ministry practice on the final days before the
trip. It went well. There will be
more rehearsal on Sunday.
-
Pray
for the student leaders who are planning the ministries, gathering the
materials, and making sure everyone knows what they are supposed to
do. All needed supplies were purchased or
donated.
-
Pray
that forgotten details will come to someone's mind!!!! Well,
they did forget to take their songbooks.
-
Pray
for unity of the class and that people would form new friendships and
strengthen old ones as they unite in a common task Students
are experiencing great unity, and working hard. As a group, they
have been moved by the poverty and need that they have seen.
Students have been very flexible and have been serving one another
very selflessly.
-
Pray
for our medical work. There will be one doctor (Dr. Katula) and a
pharmacist (Karen Mack) from our team. Pray that God will bless their efforts and bring
healing in surprising ways. The two medical days
will be long ones. Monday was the first
medical trip and 108 patients were seen, many of them Haitians who
have come to the village since the earthquake. One woman prayed
to receive Christ.
-
Pray
for health, safety and enough sleep.
-
Pray
that all of the students would listen to and respect leaders and other
authorities. Students have been doing a
great job being where they are supposed to be when they are supposed
to be there. They are flexible and responsive.
-
Pray
that all students would make good choices in their use of free time. So
far so good. In the past the poorest choices have been made on
the last night! So pray for wisdom!
-
Pray
the all participants will hear God's voice and be responsive to the
leading of the Holy Spirit Many seem to be
responding to God's voice and are stepping out in their ministry to
people.
-
Pray
that God would open doors so that warm and genuine relationships can
form during ministry, not only with the people on the team, but with
the people to whom we minister.
-
Pray
that God would pour out his love on the students so that they can pass
it on to the people they serve.
